All alone in a strange city...

To everyone who has ever suggested one of my photos and to the admin or whoever who actually feature the photos/videos! I am never able to tell who suggested what because I get the email that the photo has been featured but sometimes I'm like 'cool, let me look at the community photos page' and the picture that was featured isn't there? I don't know if it takes a minute to show up or what. Sometimes I do see who suggested and I send my thanks but I don't always know. It makes me feel bad that I can't always send a thanks to the correct person, but I recently got some thank yous from some cool talented people for suggesting their photos and it made me realize I don't send out nearly enough thank yous in return! So, I'm sorry if you think I was being mean or snobbish or whatever else because that was not the case! From now on I will investigate the photo page further to find my featured photo and to see who suggested it so I can give you a giant e-hug (unless that's weird)

including one tonight, it should be fun :-)

i obviously cant take photos OR liveblog (which would be a super fun alternative to not being able to take photos, liveblogging from a phone and making snarky captions and having it upload immediately to blogspot is way less pressure, haha) i dont think i am doing an interview....well, i CANT do an interview, lol...but i will be writing a review...fun fun.

Hey guys,

As we all know my website pulled a Houdini and disappeared on us (I'm as shocked as anyone who may have tried to visit the site is). I'm still not sure what happened to it, but all of the files I uploaded to it are gone also. Bummer! Luckily, the majority of them are still on my computer (except for anything uploaded before Nov of 07 because obvi my computer crashed and those files are now gone forever and ever!)  For now, I am going back to the loveable and huggable freewebsites to host my Warped Tour interviews until I get a new domain. Lalala. The website is hard to remember but you just have to think "dot twice":

Right now I have the Shwayze interview up as a 'placeholder', I'm not sure how much content this website can hold. It's all temporary, I will try to get a real website soon, it will not have a subdomain...it will be all mine! I'm not sure if this website will place ads on the site or not, if so, I certainly have nothing to do with it.

Hopefully sometime tomorrow I will have this temporary website set up the way I want it and it will be simple for everyone to use!

Interview with Jimmie and Dave from Every Avenue

What have been the best

and worst moments from Warped Tour so far?
Jimmie: My favorite moment was not only us playing at home and seeing our crowd but a couple of nights ago seeing Four Year Strong
Dave: I think the worst was last night our trailer broke and we couldnt make it to Warped Tour and being stuck in the middle of nowhere all day, bored out of my mind.

Are there certain bands you watch every day?
Dave: Yeah, our friends in Just Surrender. All Time Low who just joined the tour yesterday, I'll probably watch them every day. Four Year Strong, I try to catch Story of the Year when I can.
Jimmie: I watch my girlfriends band (Charlotte Sometimes) every day. I try to watch Four Year Strong every day.

Do you feel like the extreme heat helps you perform better?
Both: Not at all! Haha.
Dave: If anything it makes it worse
Jimmie: It wears you down
Dave: It also sucks for the kids because sometimes if we play later, they don't want to stick around all day because they've already been dealing with the heat and we have somewhere to go and they have no where to go...(I'm assuming he's talking like the van or somewhere to cool off)

Did you guys go to Warped Tour before playing it as a fan?
Both: Yes
What was the experience like?
Jimmie: Awesome. The first Warped Tour I went to was to see AFI and The Ataris. It was two of my favorite concerts ever

Dave: Warped Tour back in the day was awesome, I would just imagine myself like 'I want to play Warped Tour someday' so to actually be able to play it is awesome.

Do you guys have any advice for bands playing Warped Tour for the first time next year?
Dave: Drink lots of water.
Jimmie: Bring your own water and scissors to cut all your pants and shirts and try to find a lot of tank tops.
Dave: Stay cool, stay hydrated

What's one thing you cannot have on Warped Tour that you miss the most?
Jimmie: Right now Taco Bell. Our bus can't stop at places like that but on like one day we go back to our van so we get to stop and get junkfood again
Dave: Or like getting to see civilization outside of Warped Tour.


Did you guys make any new BFFs on this tour?
Dave: I've met a lot of new people, I would say that we're BFFs
Jimmie: The guys from Invisible Children have been really good to us, same with the Stereo Bear clothing company. They've been super cool to us lately. The guys sharing a bus with Charlotte Sometimes, Evergreen Terrace, they're really cool. I got to hang out with them a little bit.
Dave: Everyone on the tour is really cool.
Jimmie: For some reason one day they put us on the main stage and the crew there are just phenomonal people.

Did you meet anyone and decide that you wanted to work or collaborate with them?
Dave: I know I've met people that if it came up, yes but as of right now...no

What was a weird phobia you had about coming on Warped Tour?
Dave: I think like once we go back to our van we're not gonna have time to go to hotels or sleep or anything like that

The Van has been the horror story for most bands I've asked
Dave: Yeah, were kinda going from Heaven to Hell

Who would you be surprised to find out is a fan of your band?
Jimmie: The guys from Evergreen Terrace complimented us the other day and I was like 'wow, that's cool'...It's very very cool to hear that kind of stuff from unexpected people

What do you guys do for fun when you're not busy playing?
Jimmie: Everyone on our bus likes to drink a lot and elbow drop each other.
Dave: Our band and Just Surrender, they do like to drink. We party with them.
Jimmie: Wiffle ball is a big thing on our bus, we play a lot of wiffle ball.

i havent had an ounce of sleep tonight (or should i just 'past tense' that whole sentence since its morning?) anyway, i am going up to monticello in a couple of hours for gavin degraw's homecoming show, wtf. im not from there, what do i even care about his 'homecoming'? but whatever, my friend asked me to go with her so why not. its a saturday away + great music...so it should be all good! i will let you guys know, haha.

also i am still not at home! my aunt was supposed to come back yesterday but she wont be home til monday! party time!

currently listening: waves and the both of us - charlotte sometimes. (charlotte is so going to pwn cute is what we aim for on my lastfm charts this week! haha. but i haven't been scrobbling for the past two days *sad*)

i just want to say hi to everyone!

HI!

hello all.
im not at home right now so the new interview with EVERY AVENUE wont be up until tomorrow ;)

anyways today has been so 'eventful'. after a night of no sleep, i watched the flinstones which i havent seen in forever. i always thought Dino was their pet dinosaur but i guess he's just a dog. haha. who knew! then i tried to make turkey sausage (tastes as bad as you think it would) and then i tried to make an egg but it apparently stuck to the bottom of the pan, hahaha. the fire alarm started going crazy. omg. i had a burning egg on the stove causing a commotion, a capri sun in one hand and i was like fanning the smoke alarm with a plate using the other. OMG. so retarded. then i went to the store and bought food because trying to cook wasn't working out. i also had to let the cable guy in, duly noting the location of the knives in case he was a wacko or something. he was pretty chill so it was ok. and now ive just been watching kathy griffin for the past ....3 or 4 hours?! hahaha. and it looks like there is a marathon so i will continue watching until i pass out due to my extreme tired-ness. btw kathy griffin is like my comedic idol, shes so sarcastic and just doesnt care and i love her for that, i am sometimes a bit too sarcastic also and it gets me yelled at...whatever!

hope you all have a great day, i am worshiping the sleep gods right now..im so tired! it will be nighttime when i wake up, for sure.

im so excited! i still live at home (with the fockers), and even though i have my room which is my sanity box, i still really appreciate any time i get to spend alone. its really stupid but its so much easier to think that way. when im at my aunts house, i rarely turn on the tv or anything. its just like....a breath of fresh air. no ones calling me, telling me what to do or anything else. ill be there wed & thurs, shes only going to be gone for two days but it will be the best two days of freedom ever! love it!

p.s. love automatic & automatic loveletter have used me as the middle man to settle their name war. hahaha. they arent really at war over it, its all jokes. basically juliet sent them a message saying if you guys are good then you can keep the name and love automatic rebutted with, "well i guess were keeping the name"! haha. i love both bands so im neutral.
